We must GUARD, GUARD, and GUARD!

Proverbs 4:23 (New International Version)

23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.

This scripture is so important. All the things we deal with in our lives start in our hearts. I have learned over and over things are heart issues. So, my dear friends, let us guard our eyes, ears, and thought life so that we are on GUARD against any attacks as we do our best to live a life for CHRIST. This means; our actions, where we go. who we are with, things we focus on, even things we read and watch! All we need to satisfy our soul God will provide us with, not things of this world. Be on Guard my friends!

Also, please pray for me, things are pretty tough for me this week. I have hurt my tailbone-possible fracture from falling down wet steps and I have a yucky 2nd degree burn that is painful. This is making my job so difficult and nearly impossible. The nights of not getting enough sleep are really pressing on me too. I need some great advice that works on how to make my children sleep at night!!!

Have a blessed weekend.

Need Some ENERGY!

Dear Bloggers,

Oh my, it is getting late and I need an energy boost. I have quite a bit of work to do before in the morning. My printer is stalling which is very annoying. I have no idea what is wrong, but it is setting me back even further. If it doesn't start working now, I"m going to have to just move on and try again in the morning.

We had a sweet weekend enjoying this gorgeous fall. We spent time with Grandparents Sat. which the girls just loved. We were able to get out and enjoy the day and do a bus ride and stop for local Craft Days, it was neat to walk around. The girls had face paints, which was neat.

Today, we saw some of my family, well, it was two aunts from out of town visiting; but, by the time we were all at Gran & Pap's there was probably 20-30 of us. Large family and not even all of my father's siblings were there. We couldn't stay long, but it was good to be there for a few hours. Usually, they want us to spend hours upon hours, but we just didn't have it to spend. There was a fire and whew, I can't wait to wash my hair, it still smells like the wood burning.

During all this time, my printer still will not work, I am forgetting it for now. Hope your Monday is a good one to the start of the week.

Goodnight Friends, Shandee

Beautiful Fall Weekend

Oh, what a precious family time we had this weekend. It was one of the easiest because our children are getting older. I did not say EASY, just Easiest. It is still hard, I feel so tired tonight. I was up till almost 2 lastnight doing grocery and household shopping then getting ready for the week. Having a large family with young children certainly is a lot of work till your helpers get trained and responsible... The Good news is we are almost there! Whew-Hoo! I'm having fun with my girls, we had a good day at home. I'm excited because we are getting our van carpet shampooed tomorrow, it has gotten so yucky with the girls being messy. My sweet husband cleaned it so nicely over the weekend now we're ready to get the carpets clean again and smelling so good. Madison suggested the idea of a garbage can inside the van so they will have a place to put garbage, good idea Ma * I did just that lastnight when I did our shopping. Hoping to upload some sweet pictures by Wednesday so stay tuned.

Goodnight, Love,Shandee

Doing Better

Well, a quick update. After several dr's visits and Sophie a good ole trip to the Wellmont ER, the girls are getting better.

We're back in the swing of things. training. school. soccer. teaching my girls. planning. and life. you know what i mean.
It's so good to see Sophie's smile back on her face. We had soccer pictures this evening and it was so sweet, seeing them all run in the gym playing and smiling.

We had a beautiful moment in school this afternoon during our bible time. It was a moment I will remember all my life. I was able to look into three sets of precious little eyes telling them about the gift they will be to their husband one day and talked about when Adam first saw Eve. I would loved to have seen the look on his face in the garden that day. wow! His precious gift. I was able to tell my girls the gift they will be one day all wrapped beautifully in their wedding gown as their daddy walks them down the aisle. How precious it is to share the gift of their life. In case you're wondering, we talked about Samson and Delilah. Tomorrow we will move on to Naomi and Ruth. Bible time is my favorite time of school. It is so precious to me and my children. They could never learn this at public school and it's more in depth and personal to relate to each one individually here at home. Home schooling has opened up so many doors to discussions. What a bond, moments like these just make my week!

God Bless you all as you journey with your family!

Girls are sick

My girls could use some prayers. They are all sick. The oldest is fighting the fight very well, her immune system is kicking in. My four year old is also trying to fight this thing they all have, but she is fighting harder. The two younger ones are still pretty sick, with fevers. Had them at the dr.'s office tonight. I am very concerned about them, they have felt bad all day and it makes me so sad. Little sophie who is 19mos. old is so tiny to me, she put her tiny hands on the toilet and was standing there throwing up her first dose of medicine. Her fever was 102.8 at the dr's office tonight. I just want them to feel well. Claire is supposed to play in her first soccer game Thursday and I would like for her to be well for that. I also would just like peace of mind to know Hannah and Sophie will be just fine. They have cried so much and wanted me to hold them today. Many of you might not know, but I carry both of them a lot out of necessity and tonight was one of those I had one in each arm. The Lord gives me strength to do it, it is so hard to carry that much weight in my arms. Hannah was only 6 months old when we found out little Sophie was in my belly. It's a joy, but a hard job at the same time. Nevertheless, please pray for me to have peace of mind and healing for my babies. Catch ya later when my family is better.

Goodnight. Love,Shandee
