Changed the Look

Hey Friends,

I changed the look on my layout, how do you like it? It looks natural and refreshing to me. I like to change it up a bit every now and then so this'll be my look for a while. Well, we're supposed to get snow and freezing rain tonight/in the morning. I wonder if it'll happen. My girls will be ready for suiting up. They want to make a snowman. Sophie loves Snowmen, she will just go crazy if we can build her a REAL snowman!

Well, we are enjoying life these days. Slowing down was the absolute best decision we have ever made as a family. I am so much more carefree and less stress for the whole family. The girls are being more obedient and training is going much better, I am seeing some beautiful fruit come from it. I am enjoying every moment of motherhood and being a Home Educator. My little Claire will begin kindergarten this fall. Her hair has gotten so long and so beautfiul, it really is.

We had dermatologist appts. yesterday for my girls in Kingsport. Learning how to manage eczema, goes along with their asthma and allergies. You know, by the time this is all said and done, I've considered being a pediatrician. I think I could teach the dr's a thing or two :) We'd hoped to make a trip to the mall just to hang out, but we didn't get that far. Only Target& Lifeway(so excited to find a Family Christian Store wannabe) Just kidding... Here's a few quotes from yesterday:

"they are all so well behaved you should have more"

"blank stares" and out comes my biggest Shandee smile as 3 bulky snowsuited girls make their way through the office entrance as I give orders where Madison should lead and instruct buddies to take hand, while carrying a purse/diaper bag and another bag full of school books

"I had 4 myself. People would look at us all the time"

"Oh my, I didn't see the 2 little ones"

Oh, what a day we had. It takes so long just to get them in and out of the car, let alone shop. And then there's the bathroom stops... Hannah decided to just run out the door at Target and take a leap into the parking lot where cars zoom by. I caught her in time, though. I have no idea what she was thinking. I am laughing right now.

Well, who knows, I might have some snowday pictures to post.

Happy Winter and Goodnight!

Celebrating LIFE

I title this post from lastnight's special event I was a part of. Two of my other friends hosted a baby shower for our dear friend and her family. She is preparing to deliver her 5th baby. Kathy has prayed God would fill her womb and in His time, He did. Lastnight, we celebrated LIFE, the choice to bear more fruit that will honor and glorify our Lord. It was a precious time of fellowship, with hot drinks& sweet treats. The Lord led us to have a time of prayer and time to wash Kathy's feet. The younger ladies of the group led them-which were her daughters along with my daughter Madison. It was her first time to wash someone's feet. We put lavender fresh from the garden in the warm water. It was so precious. I think the most precious part was when the younger girls began to pour the water into the basin and wash her feet. When I was praying for her baby, Samuel, I placed my hand on her belly and he began to move and kick and I felt him :-) There was LIFE in her womb because she was obedient to God and her husband because she wanted another baby and was ready at any time, but God put life in her womb when He was ready -not her or her husband's time. It is so much better when we wait for His time and not try to do it in our own time. Looking forward to meet this new little life AND looking forward to the day I can announce we will be having our own new little life here. For now, I"m enjoying the season that the Lord is giving us to settle into our new home(yes still) and enjoy our young daughters.
